1. About TrueFuel USA
TrueFuel USA LLC ("TrueFuel", "we", "us") operates a fuel price marketplace connecting gas station owners ("Buyers") and fuel jobbers ("Vendors") in the Houston, Texas area. We are a technology marketplace only — we do not buy, sell, transport or handle fuel ourselves.
Our platform includes: a website at truefuelusa.com, a mobile application (iOS and Android), and a Chrome browser extension for email price parsing.
2. Who Can Register
The TrueFuel Buyer platform is available exclusively to:
- Licensed gas station owners and operators in Texas
- Truck stop and fueling facility operators
- Authorized partners or employees of qualifying businesses
You must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to conduct business in the United States, and provide accurate information during registration. Misrepresentation of identity or business details will result in immediate account termination.
3. Registration & Document Verification
To complete registration you must provide and allow TrueFuel to verify:
- Valid government-issued Driver's License for all listed partners
- Texas Sales & Use Tax Permit
- Employer Identification Number (EIN) certificate
- Physical location photographs (exterior, pump area, storage)
- Business formation documents upon request
TrueFuel reserves the right to decline or terminate accounts that fail verification, present fraudulent documents, or are flagged by our credit review process.
4. Email Access & Chrome Extension
By installing the TrueFuel Chrome extension and connecting your email account, you expressly authorize TrueFuel to:
- Access emails from the specific jobber addresses you designate — only
- Read email content, PDF attachments, and image attachments from those designated senders
- Parse and extract fuel pricing information from those emails
- Store extracted price data in your TrueFuel account for display purposes
TrueFuel does NOT access, read, store or transmit any emails other than those from your designated jobber addresses. You can revoke email access at any time in your extension settings. We do not store the raw content of your emails — only the extracted price data.
5. Fees & Payment
- Free Trial: 60 days free from registration date — no credit card required
- Confirmed Orders: $25 per confirmed order (charged to the vendor/jobber unless otherwise agreed)
- New Account Referral: $100 when TrueFuel introduces a new buyer account to a vendor
- Phase 2 — Contract Marketplace: 1% of total contract value upon execution of a contract between a buyer and vendor who connected via TrueFuel
- Vendor Access Fee: $1,000 one-time fee for jobbers to access Phase 2 contract listings
All payment processing happens outside the TrueFuel platform directly between buyers and vendors. TrueFuel fees are invoiced separately. Failure to pay invoiced fees within 30 days may result in account suspension.
6. Nature of the Marketplace
TrueFuel is a neutral marketplace. We do not:
- Set, negotiate or control fuel prices
- Guarantee any price shown on the platform
- Take responsibility for disputes between buyers and vendors
- Participate in or guarantee any fuel delivery
- Handle payment between buyers and vendors
Prices shown on TrueFuel are sourced from jobber emails and are for informational purposes. Always confirm current pricing directly with your jobber before placing an order. Prices may change without notice.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
- Use TrueFuel data for competitive intelligence against other platform users
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or copy the TrueFuel platform
- Submit false or misleading business information
- Use the platform for any purpose other than fuel procurement
- Interfere with the operation of the platform or other users' accounts
8. Soft Credit Check Authorization
By registering, you authorize TrueFuel USA LLC to perform a soft credit inquiry on you and all listed business partners. This inquiry does not affect your credit score. This check is used solely to verify that you have no outstanding defaults with fuel vendors or suppliers and to maintain the integrity of the TrueFuel marketplace.
9. Contract Marketplace (Phase 2)
When you list a fuel supply contract expiry on TrueFuel's Contract Marketplace: (a) you confirm you are authorized to list this contract; (b) your station name will remain anonymous — only volume, grade, location ZIP, and expiry date will be visible to verified jobbers; (c) TrueFuel earns a 1% referral fee on the total value of any contract executed with a jobber connected through TrueFuel; (d) this fee is owed regardless of whether TrueFuel is actively involved in the final negotiation.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
TrueFuel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pricing data will always be current or accurate. Your use of TrueFuel is at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
TrueFuel USA LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses arising from incorrect pricing, failed deliveries, or disputes between buyers and vendors. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees paid by you to TrueFuel in the 12 months preceding any claim.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship with 30 days written notice. TrueFuel may terminate immediately for fraud, misrepresentation, or violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 90 days then deleted, except as required by law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
